Unorthodox Harvest

This evening I went down to my garden to pull a few weeds after the bees and yellow jackets had gone on home. Things look pretty grassy in the garden for now but I was able to pull up a few useful herbs that I can eat and use for medicine.

Summer Kitchen Bucket List

Some days, oh, some days are hard. Today was one of them. All I want to do is get in my kitchen, have it clean and make some fun foods. Creative food experiments.

Of Wabbits

A rabbit ate one of my San Marzano tomato plants. Plants that I grew from precious heirloom seed. I suppose that was his snack after he finished half eating most of my strawberries.

You can imagine what happened to him.

Actually his fate is probably too horrible for you to imagine, but I don't think he'll be back to my garden.

Table Cloth Curtains

All that squirrel killing had me craving something beautiful. Feeling so very Little House, I decided to sew some curtains for our freshly painted dining room.

Homemaker: Redefined

I take my job very seriously. I care for my household. My husband, my children, the landscaping, garden, general cleanliness, preparation of medicinal herbs, schooling. I do my best in all arenas. This weekend I took home the wife championship title.
